Navy Recruiting Command

On 9/11, the United States Navy Recruiting Command in Pittsburgh held a ceremony to honor the men and women who lost their lives in the attacks. This wing performs active duty training for 15 days each year, and aircrew members train more often to meet flight qualification standards.

Penn State University

While Pittsburgh has a rich tradition of recruiting high school athletes, Penn State has a reputation for being the most selective in the state. The three-headed staff of James Franklin, Bill O'Brien and Joe Paterno have a reputation for picking up some of the top recruits from the region.
